"I feel that the stereotypes surrounding homelessness are unfair because they don’t acknowledge the diverse circumstances behind each individual. This mode of thinking is especially counterproductive because a narrow view of a group can only lead to a narrow set of solutions. My aim as a member of HOPE is not only to provide aid and resources to the local homeless community, but to also gain a well-rounded understanding of homelessness and pass on what I learn to others."
